I’ll attach an image of what I have. Basically, I’m trying to write the cross product of two vectors, and can’t figure out how to open a new line within a bracket.
newline can’t be used inside a formula. It creates a new line to display the next formula.
Where I was teaching we wrote vectors as columns of their coordinates.
My example below uses this standard,

alignc left( stack {1 # -8 # -4} right) times left( stack {5 # -5 # 7} right) = left( stack {-76 # -27 # 35} right)
