How to paste from HTML into a Calc cell without popups

When I copy numeric values from a web browser and try to paste them into a cell in Calc using ctrl-v a popup appears:

Select the Language to Use for Import
-  Automatic
-  Custom
Options
- Detect special numbers (such as dates)

If I perform “Paste Special” with ctrl-shift-v I get a different popup:

Selection
- Unformatted text
- HTML

I do not want any special formatting or spellchecking in my spreadsheets. I just want to perform numeric calculations. Can I change the behaviour of Calc so that it just pastes the number with whatever default settings and lets me continue working without interruption?
