How to prepare formal paper document such as dissertation level?

I want to tackle a formal academic document at the level of a dissertation. Is there a template? How do I add that to my template dialogue?

You can search here and in LO templates. AOO has much more than LO but should work in LO also.

The format depends on the formatting style. Usually, dissertations are formated in APA, Harvard or Chicago style (check purdue.owl for details). Also, you can browse such things like the blog about dissertation writing. There you may stumble upon both interesting and useful information.
