I am new to brlie Office and am not sure how to get the page numbers in a book that we want to start numbering the pages with the 2nd page of book begin with number 1 and goes to the end. can you please help.

Go to Format - Title Page from the main menu. There are several options you can modify, but put a checkmark next to ‘Reset page numbering after title pages’, choose a page style and click ok.
After going to format–title page as suggested by razon_22, you will see this window:
Just do exactly the same. It worked for me.
