how to rename Figures, Tables... to be automatically cross-linked with captions?

Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to (re)name Figure, Tables (and other external objects) in a way that their name is automatically cross-linked with the numbering of captions.

In this way, looking at the Navigation panel, I am able to rapidly locate “Figure 2.3” because its name is “Figure 2.3”.

No, that is not possible. The name is a simple string and cannot contain any references. But perhaps some else know a cool workaround.
