I had saved my previous version of my document and switched off my laptop. The next day they mentioned that I can recover a document since it didn’t save, so I did, and it reverted back to the older version of the document and my work was gone.
This is not a solution but a suggestion. With all new software I think it’s good to be extra careful when first getting used to it. For now, and I’m sorry for what happened to you, as it has happened to me many times, make extra copies just to give yourself more ways to restore if something unexpected goes wrong.
