In Writer v. 5.3.4.2 I want to search and replace (Ctl H) for the ‘carriage return + line feed’ control character and replace with a space.
Here you can read “$ on its own matches the end of a paragraph. This way it is possible to search and replace paragraph breaks.”
Besides the End-Of-Line sequence CRLF, “$” also matches other End-Of-Line characters, such as \u000a, \u000b, \u000c, \u000d, \u0085, \u2028, \u2029.
To replace only the CRLF’s, set the Find string to: “\r\n” ( without the quotes ).
