How to see found hidden cells in calc

If in a calc spreadsheet I have some hidden rows (or columns), and I do Edit > Find (or Ctrl+F) to ‘find’ (or ‘find all’) something, which is in the hidden area, how can I see the cell I have found (in context)? (If I do ‘find all’ I get a ‘Search Results’ box showing the found cells (only - not what I want)

What I am wanting (if not expecting) is for the hidden row/column containing the found cells to be shown.

Is there a command or option to achieve this?

(I have a feeling that it used to do so - I am now on LO 4.2.6, so have i found a bug?)

Did you find a bug or is it an enhancement request depends on the specifications used to program the search function.

I made a test using LibO 4.2.6.2 running on XP.

When a cell content is searched for and is in an hidden cell, there are 2 ways to see where the hidden cell(s) is:

  • when using FIND the cursor jumps to the line behind which are the hidden columns or rows located
  • when using FIND ALL a pop up windows shows the coordinates of all the hidden cells

Thanks. Yes, that is the behaviour as I see it (but not as I want it)
