Thank you @qubit1. In that forum there is not te soluytion to my question.
It seems that you cannot set the default editor inside OpenOffice 4.0.0.3, but you must use the system default.
Thank you
Hi @AndreaBorruso,
Please take a look at the answers provided here:
@AndreaBorruso – Thanks for the update. Sorry that it doesn’t seem possible at this time to choose which external editor to use from within LibreOffice.
My suggestion to you is to please file an enhancement bug and to explain your desire for this configuration option. Don’t forget to mark your bug as an ‘enhancement’. The QA team will be happy to help you triage your feature request in the bugtracker.
Please post a link to any bugs you file in a comment below using the format “fdo#123456”.
Thanks!
Libreoffice doesn’t know what external editing tools are present on your system, it just defaults to the default one (pleonasm) it means that it will launch the one defined in the preferences of YOUR OS. You just have to set the os preferences by yourself: I’m using linux, I went to the system settings menu and there to the file association menu and there choose gimp as default application for the png, jpeg, … formats.
when its done, when you use libreoffice’s edit with external tools menu, gimp is launched
I have installed Irfanview-- my editor of choice into my Linux Mint Mate 17.3. It runs fine, but isn’t in the list of applications to choose from?
Is there something I can edit to allow it to show up in the drop-down menu?
