How to show the current document file name?

Using LibreOffice Writer 7.3.7.2 on Linux (Ubuntu 22.04).

This is such an obvious “feature”, I apologize if the answer is easily fixed in the settings (could not find it).

I have multiple similar documents opened at the same time.
However, I don’t see where their file name is shown (File / Properties each time is cumbersome).

Ideally, here is a screenshot where it could appear (due to space, even if only half the name is shown that would be great)

Thank you.

You didn’t mention which desktop manager was installed. Since you’re under Ubuntu, it is likely this is either Unity or Gnome. These DMs come with their preferred window managers.

Apparently, WM configuration was altered to suppress the title bar which appears above the menu bar.

Look in the configuration center for a setting related to the title bar. I can’t help more because my DM is KDE Plasma which is too different.

As a workaround, the list of open documents is under menu Window.

Hi, thanks.

Well I didn’t think the WM would matter. But it does seemingly.

It’s actually Unity (Gnome is too slow / heavy for me).

I’ll dig in the settings when time permits.
