I have an Excel workbook that some of my users open with LibreOffice. This workbook contains pivot tables and conditional formatting. When LibreOffice opens this file it immediately deletes the pivot tables and the conditional formatting. Am I honestly the first person ever to encounter this? I can find no documentation that describes this compatability problem. Conditional formatting and pivot tables are not that sophisticated, at least not in the way that I am using them. What am I missing?
This question won’t give any better result than your original same question here. If you feel, that this is a bug or an enhancement is required, then please report at https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/.
Maybe you are using some options for pivot table that are not available in LibreOffice, like combine tables, calculated fields. And in LibreOffice the pivot table update the fomrat of the cell when it is showed, maybe the source of your trouble.
Thank you Opaque for your prediction and referral to bugzilla. The feedback that I received about my previous post was that it was too long and complex for some to understand. I simplified and asked a specific question with this post. You seem like you want to help and for that I am grateful. However, citiquing how I word my post isn’t helpful to me. I prefer answers to my questions over critiques of how I ask them. I consulted bugzilla and other sources looking for someone that had a problem similar to mine before posting here. I have found no similar problems. Not knowing the source of the pivot table or conditional formatting problem, I can’t say that it is a bug or that an enhancement is necessary. It would be irresponsible of me to ask people to fix a bug that isn’t a bug or make enhancements when none are needed. Thank you very much for your suggestions. I hope we can work together on resolvng a programming problem in the future. i think we would make a good team.
