How to tag column headers for easy customized identification?

I’d like a customizable column headers so I know what that column is instead of scrolling all the way to the first set of rows to see what that column signifies.
Currently I’m having to take a screen shot of the column ids and place it on the top of the screen. So is there a way to this on the current version of LO?
Maybe just a simple tag for a column that pops up when the mouse cursor hovers over a column header?

menu View | Freeze Cells | Freeze First Row

Is this an option for you?

Yes, but I see that it has to be highlighted first. Thanks. :slightly_smiling_face:
Is there a way to freeze a set of rows, say like first 10?
Ah never mind, I found the answer, Highlight the rows and columns and hit freeze rows and columns but you have to unfreeze the first row before doing so. Thanks much.

The term highlighting here is misleading, no selection/mark/highlighting is needed, just place the cell cursor on A11 to freeze first 10 rows, or B11 to freeze first column as well. Frozen are rows/columns above/left of the cell cursor.

Thanks for the info but you do have to “mark” the a particular column/row before freezing it, also mislead? maybe a better word might be “incorrect”.

There is nothing to mark or highlight for the functionality to work. It does not work with a highlighted/marked range or row or column, only the cell cursor position is determining the range to be frozen. The only thing that gets marked with every cell cursor position are the row and column headers (e.g. 11 and B).
