How to toggle cursor focus between a formula and the sheet?

In OpenOffice, while editing a formula, I was able to hit F2 to toggle the focus between the formula and the worksheet. When the focus was on the worksheet, the selected cell would be inserted in the formula as a reference. This allowed for easy creation of cell references via keyboard navigation (as opposed to clicking on the desired cell using the mouse).

This no longer seems to work in LibreOffice, or at least F2 is not the way to do it. Has the functionality been removed from LO altogether?

F2 should still work in the old way, only you do not see the cursor. Which version do you use? Look at menu Help > About.

Nope, F2 only initiates formula editing, but once I’m in the edit mode, pressing F2 again does nothing. I’m using LO 5.3.4.2 on MacOS.

Then please write a bug report.
