I have LO 6.3.4.2 on Mac OS Catallina. I need to print Avery labels “Presta 94210”. I cannot find that label at LO>File>New>Labels>Brand & so I downloaded a template from Avery. The file’s extension is .doc, and it opens fine in LO Writer. Is there a way to add that template to LO so that it will appear at LO>File>New>Labels? Thank you.
Hello,
labels visible in File -> New -> Labels
are not defined using templates but are defined by their respective format description in an XML file called labels.xml
, which can be found within the application installation directory. Thus you cannot use the template to make it appear in the respective dialog.
You have 2 choices:
- Create an .ott template from the .doc and use that like any other writer template
- Create your own "Presta 94210 Label definition under
File -> New -> Labels -> Tab: Format
andSave
button
(Hopefully I got the measures right - not quite familiar with imperial units)
Hope that helps.
