How to you clear a form option button?

When I create a form in Writer that uses option buttons (a.k.a. radio buttons), by default none are selected (which is what I want). But once one is selected, the row of buttons must always have one showing as selected. Is there a way to reset a row of buttons so that none are selected? Or to simply clear the selected button?

Hi @elias4444,

I can’t find documentation on how to clear the radio buttons.

Please file an enhancement bug and ask for this feature to be added (or if the feature already exists, for documentation to be added to explain how to do it! :-). Don’t forget to mark your bug as an ‘enhancement’. The QA team will be happy to help you triage your feature request in the bugtracker.

Please post a link to any bugs you file in a comment below using the format “fdo#123456”.

Thanks!

A solution

With Form Design Mode ‘On’, double-click (to select) the ‘set’ option button

In the Properties box change the ‘default status’ to ‘selected’ and then change it back to ‘not selected’
close the box and the button is cleared.

messy but it works
