Huge Menu/Toolbar Font

I just installed LibreOffice 4.0 on debian wheezy, and when I launched it I was greeted with menus/toolbars with HUGE fonts (it does this in all of the programs):
Two pics

The only way I have found to reduce the font size is to

  1. reduce the system font, which is out of the question because it’s normal sized already and anything lower is too low, and
  2. use the view options to scale down the user interface, but other parts of the user interface (such as Writer’s font selection toolbar and the option menus) are actually at a good size, and reducing them makes them too small (and the reduction doesn’t make the font size smaller much at all)

Does anybody have any ideas? Is there a way to directly change the font the menus/toolbars use? I haven’t been able to find any option and Google has turned up nil. The text really only seems to be bad for the menus and toolbars, actually document text is fine.

Hi @Cheeser12,

There…you now should be able to post comments on Posts :slight_smile:

@Cheeser12,

Hmmm… my first guess would be that someone enabled some kind of large-sized font theme, perhaps an Accessibility option. But you’re only seeing the large fonts in this one program…and only in the menus.

If no one has any brilliant suggestions in the next day, please file a bug about this issue. I’m not sure whether to send you to

I guess you came to us first, so feel free to file a bug in our bugtracker.

Thanks!
