When I add a hyperlink to text in a spreadsheet it adds a grey background color around the text. Is there a way to eliminate or customize this?
Two ways I know of:
Enter your hyperlink as a function, e.g. `=HYPERLINK(“http://www.google.com”)
Set the field shading to your background color using Tools/Options/Libreoffice/Appearance Then in the Custom Colors Text Document section set the field shadings color setting to your cell background color.
You can save this as a custom color scheme for easy switching back and forth. You can change the unvisited links color for the hyperlink too. However I could not get the visited links color to change.
That is still entering a color. I color code cell backgrounds. Entering the sheet background color only changes the highlight color of the hyperlink. Now instead of gray it will be white. That is no solution. I want no color like in excel. I want to try libreoffice, but this appears to indicate a serious lack of thought by the designers.
