I accidentally filled an entire column with a formula and clicked save in Calc - LibreOffice subsequently crashed and has been unable to open my document since - How would I go about recovering my document?

The formula was a simple “this column - this column” formula and thus the column is filled with mostly 0s and I only need the data up to say 200 rows.

I’m assuming that Libre is unable to load the spreadsheet because the number of rows is not capped at a certain amount and so I’ve accidentally created a tremendously large document.

How would I go about getting this document to open? Or at least open up to 200 rows or something?

Please what is your OS and your LIbreOffice version?. Had enabled the options for backup and recovery in Menu/Tools/Options/Load-Save/General?

Hi, thanks for the response,
the LibreOffice version is Version 4.0.0.3 (Build ID: 7545bee9c2a0782548772a21bc84a9dcc583b89)

and my OS is Win 7 Professional 64 bit Service Pack 1

the options in the Load-Save/General are set to their default I believe, and so “always create backup copy is unticked”
