Tried attaching a document created in Libre Writer to an email. It will not open on my tablet (Android). My computer has Windows 8.1.

Since OOo used OpenDocument Format 1.0 as default format since version 2, ODF 1.2 since 3.0 and LO is just a variation using identical codebase since OOo 3.3.0.4 [a little later after OOo was flagged as dead; LO didn’t exist at least officially before 3.3.0.4] and modifying it since, it shouldn’t matter whether you use OOo or LO to open ODF 1.2 file; it took long for Oracle to dump OOo to Apache and long for them to start working on it.
While on the subject, I’ve tested OOo and LO, and read and read, LO is much better than OOo so I won’t even bother continuing with OOo on computer if I’m not to use 1.1.5 or other version for a specific reason.
I can’t test just yet. Looks like all this was done or released just recently. Back when I first checked after acquiring one of our Android tablets OOo/LO for Android was just a dream.
If at least the AndrOpen Office is a real deal, we’re pretty well covered before LO supports Android.
A simple search at Google Play gives other programs which are mere viewers, but don’t look totally bad. No need to pay for anything if it’s not a complete, perfect suite.
