I know how to do this and have done it in earlier versions of LibreOffice, but it no longer works. I go to Options/LibreOffice/Personalization/Own Theme/ and try to put in the Firefox theme URL, but it says it can’t do it. Is this due to the “https” prefix over the usual “http” prefix since the former is secure? That is all I can figure, but of course, I can’t just take that “s” off and get it to work. Ideas? Work arounds? I really enjoy using themes, so this is a bummer!
I have reproduced this behaviour on my LO Version: 5.4.2.2 Build ID: 1:5.4.2-0ubuntu0.17.10.1.
The theme previews are not showing up, even after the message text “Searching, please wait…” has disappeared.
My bypass is to use my own Personas. You can install these offline. If you have already downloaded your required personas, perhaps using Firefox, this approach would allow you to install it for LibO. Personally, I only use Persoans that I have created. Try https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=61311 for details about the bug and attachment for documentation. http://bugs.documentfoundation.org/attachment.cgi?id=127480
Petermau – for those of us who aren’t computer whizzes or experts on Firefox or LibreOffice, can you please do the dummies version, step-by-step, for creating and saving personas to use as you described? I have no idea how to create a persona or install one offline. Thanks!
