When I go to another computer the same thing happens. The table cells display but text does not display. When I open the document in MS WORD the text shows so it must still be in LibreWord. In fact, the bottom of the page also shows the total number of characters and words.
What of document format do you use? I recommend using ODF for LibreOffice if possible.
Could you please upload here the file you are talking about? Or better yet, write a bug report, upload the file, pictures of how Word shows it and how LO does. Hopefully this will get fixed this way.
Can you mark whole text with CTRL+A and copy text to some program like Notepad. Do you see the text in Notepad? If yes, maybe you have some font color problem or something similar.
What is you document format? Probably some kind of Microsoft Office format. I suggest to try saving the file in ODF and open it. Does this solves your problem?
