I use Libre Office 7.62. for Mac. The problem is that I cannot insert a picture in Writer, I only get a frame.
I saw the earlier thread for this problem. The proposed solution in the earlier thread was:
Menu Tools → Options → LibreOffice Writer → View → Display
But under “Tools” I do not see “Options” so this does not work for me.
Thank you! This settled my problem. BTW, I have used LibreOffice more than then years, I belive, both on Linix and on Mac. So I don’t feel that I should have to do “setting up Libre Office” when I update the version. Why not have the view images option checked by default?
This setting appeared in the View menu quite recently. Previously, you had to go deep in Tools>Options (Preferences under MacOS) to find it. I suppose something was changed in the user profile to take into account intialisation of this new menu item. Since it did not exist, a 0 or false value seems a sensible start.
