I want a Windows 10 MRU taskbar list. Is it possible?

Windows 10 taskbar shows a list of most recently used files in some programs. For instance, I have and use CorelDRAW 2017 (which is a bit old) and it shows this MRU list when I right-click on its taskbar icon:

When I right-click on LO’s taskbar icon, it shows only this:

Is there a setting I can use to enable this for LO, or it does not have support for ths feature?

TIA.

Checkmate in two moves (not one).

  1. Run LibreOffice Writer.
  2. In the Windows taskbar, in the context menu of the new Writer document window, you’ll see the required information.

I did as you said, but it shows only Writer documents, and only two, though there are many more of them I have recently opened and edited. I’m thinking of this feature for LO as a whole, so I can quickly access any file associated to it (documents, presentarions, spreadsheets, etc.).

You see, Corel PHOTO-PAINT, which is part of the CorelDRAW suite, also shows such MRU list:

Besides, I didn’t mention, but with CorelDRAW I can even pin some files shortcuts for quicker access, as you can see in my first related image here.

That is a Windows setting. The document list for that is lost when you upgrade to a new version of LibreOffice.

See enhancement request Bug 76131 - Existing pinned icon on Win7/8/10/11’s taskbar is invalid after re-installation/update and start menu icons are swapped (W10/W11)

Every time I upgrade LO, its taskbar shortcut stops working, that is, Windows says its target or something can’t be found. So I have to either point it again to the target via its properties or delete it and create a new one, which is what I always prefer to do, because it’s quicker by using the shortcut in the Start menu.

You can add yourself to the CC list for the bug report to be updated on any changes, it also acts as a kind of vote for the bug to be addressed

In older versions (7.x) I pinned Writer and Calc to the Win10 taskbar. Both dhowed individual Mru-list on right-click.

This is still possible in Windows 11.
