I want to save a libre writer document straight to a flash drive

I’m trying to save a LibreOffice Writer file directly to a flash drive using Windows 10 File Explorer. I have the flash drive plugged into my computer and it shows up as USB Drive (F:) in File Explorer. I highlight USB Drive (F:) in File Explorer which then shows up at the top of the File Explorer page. Then I go to Libre Writer and click save and it goes to my hard drive.

I would strongly advise against this type of saving. Many reports here testify to the fact that the memory stick is usually accidentally removed too early and thus corrupts the file.

Then I go to Libre Writer and click save and it goes to my hard drive.

Select Tools>Options>LibreOffice>Paths from the menu.
Go to “My Documents” and specify the path where you want to save your files.
