I'm now getting prompts to install 64-bit Java (JRE)

After updating LibreOffice, I began get a notice that LibreOffice needs a 64-bit Java JRE to perform this task. I do have a current JRE installed. LibreWriter opens when I dismiss this notice; however, I wonder what functionality remains compromised.

Hello,

i think the jre is mostly used in the Base Module (Database connectors and such) .
If you do not use that, only writer, calc, draw , impress and math
you should be good eitherway.

Regarding the Notice showing at every Startup:

Check under Tools → Options > LibreOffice > Advanced

and uncheck “Use a Java runtime environment”.
And Apply / OK.

That should disable the notice in theory.

Hope that helps.
