iMac problem with LibreOffice

I have been using LibreOffice for ages, but now when I open it I get the following message.

“Either another instance of LibreOffice is accessing your personal settings or your personal settings are locked.
Simultaneous access can lead to inconsistencies in your personal settings. Before continuing, you should make sure user ‘Myname’ closes LibreOffice on host ‘MyName-iMac.local’.”

I am the only user on the iMac and I Force Quit the App and when I open it again I get the same message.
I can’t find anything in “System Preferences” but I may not be looking in the correct area.

Any help would be appreciated…

Get to your user profile directory and look if there is a lock file (its name should be .lock). Delete it.

Thanks very much, Done and working…

Thanks for the answer folks, all working fine since I deleted the .lock,
