Image compression problem at 150dpi resulting with only part of image shown in PDF

I have an 8"x6" image that the libre office compression algorithm does not like.
I am exporting a multipage document to a pdf.
I have selected to reduce the image resolution to 150dpi to lower the MB of the document.
When I export it, that one image is changed to just showing the upper left corner zoomed in, while the rest of the image is off the screen and not displayed.

I have changed the image to jpg, tiff, bmp which does not change the result.

The problem is the compression algorithm at 150dpi is not working correctly. I can change it to other resolutions and it will work, but 150dpi is buggy and needs fixing.

Actually this seems to occur at other resolutions too, not just 150.
The fraction of the picture that remains seems to be proportional to the DPI selected. As an aside the ‘help’ for the compress dialogue seems to be missing.
The original image is about 10megs of 32 bit colour JPEG ,so from my side a working compression would be very useful thing to fix.
Meanwhile for anyone else stuck, renaming the odt to zip, drilling in to the zip archive, and editing the jpgs with another programme, and then renaming back to odt works fine,

I’m running LibreOffice Version: 6.0.7.3
Build ID: 1:6.0.7-0ubuntu0.18.04.10
