Import textclipping files

I need assistance regarding the importing of a .textclipping file into a LibreOffice Spreadsheet on Mac OS X. I have been unsuccessful in importing the .textclipping file into LibreOffice 3.6.3.2 on Mac OS X 10.8.2 at all.

This works fine when dragging the textclipping file to Microsoft Excel or Apple Numbers.

Can you provide any assistance on how to import a .textclipping file into a spreadsheet in LibreOffice.
