I have a CSV file exported from Aptest which contains descriptions that spread over more than one line. I want to import it into Calc.
The entries are all surrounded by quotation marks, yet after the import each line of such an entry appears as a seperate row in Calc.
How to fix this?
You have to change line endings from LF to CRLF for the importer to correctly handle the quotation marks. This may be a bug or a feature worth implementing.
I don’t have any problem here importing a CSV with very long (multi-line) quoted fields. Are you running LO on Windows? What platform is the file coming from? May simply be a platform difference.
@oweng running Mint. Also, such things, even if varied across platforms, should be possible to parametrize in the importer.
