How do I replace with the same word but in a different color and font type please?
Formatting for “replace” part is not available, it seems.
Workaround
Should have been
Find all
, then apply format. Alas, I cannot makeFind all
work in Impress. Also, the simple “find” does not work. Have to use the find/replace dialog. Strange.
So, the workaround is a bit more “around” (unless you can make it work like I can’t… )
- Menu item
Edit
-Find and replace
- Enter search term
- Repeat
Find next
- Apply formatting
Formatting tools are available while find/replace dialog is open.
No need to close the dialog down before you apply format.
It is recommended to keep the format settings in a character style and apply that. This will be at least as easy (most likely easier) to apply, and also a lot easier to adjust/revert.
Thanks for your response. I still can’t get it to work but I’ll keep trying.
(Useful if you have much text in a text frame. Otherwise one by one by hand.)
Select the text, paste it in Writer, choose menu Edit
- Find & Replace…
, in the Find text box type the text to be changed, press the button Find All
, apply text color and font changes, select all text and repaste on Impress.
