Impress: Image Filters not working

Hi;
I have a 2 problems with Impress.

I can’t use the filters tool, they are grayed.
also color mode and brightness … etc.

I tried adding jpg, png and bitmap, and same thing.

Same thing in LO Draw! but in LO Writer it Filters are working. only blur do not give a resulte.

after closing dialog box of format > 3d Effect on shape the program crashed.

Do you have the same problems?
How can solve the problems?

My LibreOffice version is 24.2.2!
System: Kubuntu 24.04

Please share your document (sample file containing the problem; upload in the ask site or use sort of cloud).

A simple test…
Try: Start LibreOffice in Safe Mode (menu Help). Is the problem still existing?

It looks like a problem with the tabbed UI. As workaround set your UI to the “standard toolbars”.

Thank you … You are right, tabbed UI has a problem.
Now filters are active. how I can I solve the problem for tabbed UI?

but I have another problems now, sharpen and smooth (blur) filters are very bad, smooth take along time to blur the image and not as previewed in dialog box.
also other filters not pro.

Impress is graphical application and should has many improvement and features work smoothly and correctly.

How can I send suggestions to LO developers?
and report such problems with details ?

You might prefer to right click on the image and select Edit in external program. Generally dedicated photo editors will have more possibilities and finer control.

it is UI problem, only Standard Toolbar activate image filters.

I tried Appimage Version 24.2.2 … same thing!
I downloaded .deb version 7.6.6.3 and Filters are works.

so the problem only in Version 24.2.2

I do not know if my Kubuntu miss some files that LibreOffice need them. but it is UPTODATE!

also,

many times Imoress crashed.
did not save some textboxs font I change.
when do many changes on objects (textboxs, images, shapes, charts … etc) it loose controling. I closed the the file and reopen … last changes I made not saved!
