In word processing they have this feature where you can take a few lines and collapse them into a bullet or heading. So I thought this would be a great feature for a spreadsheet program allowing one to have a lot of info on a page without it taking up much space and the reader can only display what they need to.
Look at >Data>Group and Outline>
.
You can even create nested groups to many levels.
Interesting!
OK - got it.
Can I navigate with the arrow keys or just with the mouse? Arrow keys are far superior.
I thought you simply wouldn’t include rows and/or columns you want to display permanently with the groups. What did I misunderstand?
I edited my comment above.
I’m trying all manner of keyboard combinations but nothing works. I want to use the arrow keys to highlight a cell, then expand it. Seems so simple!

That is exactly what I wanted. Its working great. I just need to know if I can improve the navigation by using my keyboard more. Then it would be a dream.
Do you know if I can do this in Swriter? There is no “Data” in the menus but there is “Group” under “Format”. I put in a few lines of text, highlighted a few of them but “Group” was grayed out.
