In updating profile, what is website ?
I don’t klow where you see that, but they are probably asking if you own or operate a website, giving you the opportunity to enter the address for it.
@ve3oat: perhaps he is asking about the user profile here at ask.libreoffice.org, where there is a field to provide a website url according the purposes you already mentioned.
