When entering data into the cells of tables or spreadsheets, instead of being allowed to increase the height of the row by hitting enter, one now encounters a small red triangle. However, I haven’t been able to find information in the program about the red triangle, and I really did like the ability to increase the height of the row by just hitting enter. I’d much appreciate any pointers to where I can find out more about the red triangle.
Hi Stackrat, the red triangle only indicates that the (for example) text is too long for the width of the cell. You can broaden the cell until the text fits in completely. Then the red triangle disappears. If you want to write multiple lines, use Shift + Enter.

And btw, the red triangle isn’t new at all, it was always there if text doesn’t fit into a cell and the cell right of it has content.
The option >Options>LibreOffice Calc>View>Display>Text overflow may have been enabled recently by the user or established as default in a uninstall/install process…
Additionally to ebot’s answer, if you want the row height automatically adjust to the content, then change the cell style (either Format → Cell for a single hard attribute, or better an applied cell style from the stylist (F11) if you need that more often), on tab Alignment, Properties check Wrap text automatically.
