Input List text won't wrap into formatted paragraphs

I’m using an input list to create a varied form letter. It’s sort of a choose-your own adventure variation on a business letter template.

Unfortunately, the text won’t wrap into properly formatted paragraphs.

In fact, after saving and reopening the document, the fields become read-only text. I am still able to choose the sentence I want from a pop-up window, but I am no longer able to edit the field. (Right-clicking brings up a useless formatting menu.)

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Please, what OS, LibreOffice version and file type used to save?

As soon as I posted the question, I jumped on this same train of thought.

I am using Vista, and I was trying to save as a .doc file. I rebuilt the document and saved it as an .odt file. This should have occurred to me sooner. So far, no problems.

Long-standing bug: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=45341. Your solution to save as .odt is only possible now.
