I have a form downloaded from the web as .odt. To fill in the information, I need to insert a number of text boxes. I found Writer’s drawing toolbar, but when I try to insert a text box, the text box pointer converts to an eight-pointed star and no box is created. Obviously, I’m doing something wrong, so could some one please straighten me out? Thanks.
Form design is a separate feature of Writer not related to drawing.
To display the appropriate toolbars, View>Toolbars>Form Controls and View>Toolbars>Form Design.
First enter design mode. Select the kind of controls you want to insert and create it with the mouse.
Leave form design to test your form.
