On the initial attempt to download LO, I get this message “C:\Users\ryansue\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Low\Content.IE5\L52DPNTR\LibreOffice_Setup[1].exe is not a valid Win32 application.”
I would really like to get this downloaded as my daughter is trying to put a document together for her school.

You should have an msi file in your downloads folder where you originally chose to download LibreOffice. Check again where your default download location is and look there. If the file did not download completely, try it again. It should be about 213 MB.
If the OS is Windows, the downloaded files should have the extension “msi”.
To be on the save side I would download from here: http://www.libreoffice.org/
If you download using a different PC (not the one you intend to install LibO on), make sure that you select the right version.
