Install extension but failed to register package

I’m trying to install the “Interpolation for Calc” extension for LIbreOffice Calc ver 7.3.7.2 on Linux Mint 21.3. I downloaded the extension from

I try to install the extension with the extension manager, I accept the license agreement and get the following error message:
Failed to register package for vnd.sun.star.expand: $UNO_USER_PACKAGES_CACHE/uno_packages/lu110101qgdg.tmp_/interpolation.oxt/source/ ./scripting/source/provider/MasterScriptProvider.cxx:526

I was able to install it and use it on my previous computer running slightly older versions of LO and Mint. Any help would be appreciated.

Extensions are - mostly - third party softwares. Try to ask the author of the extension. And there are some comments for Linux under the version informations on the page what you linked above.

Thank you Villeroy for the encouragement and to Zizi64 for the source of the solution!
“sudo apt install libreoffice-script-provider-python” at a terminal did it! Thanks!
