Previously, I successfully installed 6.0.6. I have been having problems upgrading to 6.1.5 or 6.1.6, So, I uninstalled 6.0.6. Now, even it will not install.
First windows error message says that it cannot open device/file.
The second window error message give me internal error 2755, 110 and list the install file name that I was using.
How do I fix this?
I have a Win 7 x64 Professional edition desktop computer with the same problem. Surprisingly, a third Win 7 x64 Home Edition laptop did not.
Question #164691 in this forum describes the same problem, but on a Win 10 platform. This question recommended changing the MSI file to an EXE file via a free utility. I found one, used it, and the EXE version of LibreOffice 6.1.6.3 installed just fine.
Either LibreOffice or Microsoft or both changed something along the way. The referenced question contains quite an extensive dialog on the problem. It is worth a reading.
Nonetheless, the problem is solved (for the time being).
