My Raspberry Pi cannot connect to the internet. Can I download the linux version of LO on a PC then copy the file to my pi and install it there?
What O/S are you using?
According to this web page Raspberry Pi just uses Linux for operating system: http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/libreoffice-on-the-raspberry-pi.html so downloading LibreOffice deb package from https://www.libreoffice.org/download/?version=4.1.1&lang=en-US&type=deb-x86 to your PC and copy to Raspberry Pi and install should work (I don’t have Raspberry Pi, so just guessing according to the article).
Popular raspberry pi o/s’s:
raspian - Debian based.
Pidora - Fedora based.
RISC OS - not linux or unix based
I was asking to help him with steps specific to the distro and also to see if he was familiar enough with Raspberry Pi to know which O/S or distro he was using – if not, I would know to give verbose instructions
