Install of version 5.1.4 fails to setup writer and calc filetypes

Having installed version 5.1.4 on Windows 10 64bit, and deleting Microsoft Office 2010 taster, I was unable to get LibreOffice to accept the Writer and Calc filetypes
I could load .docx files by right click, Open With and selecting Writer, the MS Word icon had gone but docx files still described as Microsoft Word.
Can anybody suggest how to set Writer and Calc file Types correctly.

Thanks

Instead of directly selecting Libre Writer, select Choose another app, navigate to Writer, select Always use this app to open .docx files, select Writer.

Thanks Floris v, yes, that sure works for one file extension, but what about the rest of the file extensions that MS-Word would normally take?
I’d rather like to set them all if possible. What would you suggest please?

Start the Default programs app, select Set default programs, select LibreOffice, click Choose defaults for this program (bottom of window), tick any items that were missed, click save.
Don’t forget to accept my answer when you’re done.

Thanks floris v, I will try that.
[It is a laptop belonging to a friend so I have t catch them in - hopefully Friday.]

Sorted now Floris v - Thanks!
