The newest version of LibreOffice becomes stuck during installation and won’t finish. I have the same problem on two computers, both running Windows 8.1.
I’ve seen posts about this but no solutions being offered. I really hope this gets fixed since I really love LibreOffice and the other free offices just don’t come close to it in quality and easy of use.
Please see this FAQ. “This” cannot be fixed, because it’s unknown what is that “this” here (your description doesn’t tell much) - but if you follow the FAQ, and provide logs if unsuccessful, and they turn out to be some LO problem, I’d be happy to try to fix that.
Thank you for the reply. I could try to create an installation log and post that. The installation just hangs at a certain point and nothing happens. It will neither close nor continue.
I actually went and downloaded a random older version (6-1-0-3) and it installed without any problem.
I’m having the same problem with the installation on win 8.1 . Installation of version 6.3.2 and 6.2.8 won’t complete in Win 8.1 (I left also the PC turned on overnight), whereas version 6.1.0.3 installs with no problems.
