Is it safe to delete OpenOffice after installing LibreOffice?

Just want to me sure that all the ODT documents I created witn OpenOffice will not disappear if I uninstall the OpenOffice program now

Uninstalling OpenOffice will only remove the program files, not files created with OpenOffice.
