Is LibreOffice Online suitable for 'general users' of LO?

The description of LO Online in the ‘new release’ info* isn’t understandable to me.

“LibreOffice Online is fundamentally a server service, and should be installed and configured by adding cloud storage and an SSL certificate. It might be considered an enabling technology for the cloud services offered by ISPs or the private cloud of enterprises and large organizations.”

Is LO Online suitable for non-technical LO users? If so, where can I find clear instructions on how to set it up & use it?

Well, the only problematic (?) part here might be the ISPs abbreviation, which stands for Internet Service Providers. They, along with enterprises and large organizations, are the audience of this technology.

What I meant to draw attention to is that the average LO user (assuming they’ve, e.g., simply migrated from MS Office but aren’t ‘techies’) doesn’t know anything about setting up a server or SSL certificates. The release info doesn’t direct them to any clear instructions on how to install and use LibreOffice Online.

What I meant to draw attention to is that they don’t need that. Running any server software expects advanced IT knowledge. Anyone can build required knowledge, but that’s outside of the project’s scope.

There are third-party guides available though. TDF doesn’t bear any responsibility on any problems caused by following them or using the technology without understanding of concepts or following best practices.
