I have installed Libre on my Dell Windows laptop. I have been asked to submit documents to a Word for Windows recipient. Can I do this without installing Word for Windows? How do I direct Libre to operate in the Word for Windows mode?

save your file as Word document using File -> Save As and select Filter Word 2007–365 (.docx)
Note(s):
- Keep your original file in ODF format (
.odt) and useSave Asonyl, if you need to provide your file to Word recipients. - Recent versions of Microsoft Word should be able to open
.odt, so you may not need to perform this step at all. Check with the capability of your recipients Word* version.
