Hi, I’m trying hard to get the libreoffice impress remote app working and it seems like it’s just broken. I am using Linux Mint 19.1 and have found that it’s just not connecting properly- bluetooth is set up just fine on the device. Has anyone been able to get it working properly on version 6.0?
Been myself searching for a solution, found lots of issues concerning Bluetooth connectivity in Impress Remote v. 2.x.
It’s such a pain since quite often independent speakers are not allowed onto the local WiFi in schools/institutions, so controlling Impress via Bluetooth would be ideal.
So, either I connect via hotspot to my phone - or I downgrade Impress Remote to version 1.0.6. Both methods are ugly, but work temporarily. So this is not a solution, but a workaround…
The old APK can be found here.
Thanks, I’m not sure I will be able to get the old APK working but I’ll give it a shot. If you haven’t, please put in a bug report so that the devs can see that this is a feature we’d like to see maintained. Regressions suck.
