Is there a way of inserting footnotes in Impress?

I’m familiar with how to do this using Writer, but I’d like to do this in Impress powerpoint presentations.

In Impress you cannot insert footnotes.

And i have a question: why do you need footnotes in presentation? It will be very small font size, that people will be see bad

Why?

1. it’s a reference and shouldn’t take up the huge 24pt font.
2. It should be readable, but it’s a footnote, so it doesn’t deserve the main focus.
3. It should be readable when a copy is given to the participants.
4. A proper reference shows the source of what’s being presented and not just an opinion of the author.
