Is there a way to assign a unique value/number to new Calc rows?

I have a number of sheets where this feature would be highly useful, but I’m not able to find such a function in the documentation, and simply Googling around for a solution doesn’t yield much either.

Don’t know if this is what you are looking for - you should explain in more detail what are you trying to do…

1. Select row.
   
2. Insert | Names | Defines and type in the name you would like to have.
   
   
   
   To manage (e.g. delete) names use: Insert | Names | Manage.
   
   
   
   Please explain more what are you trying to do.
