On Linux systems (in this case RHEL/CentOS 7.x) that are configured to be FIPS compliant - it breaks the LO (at least in LIbreOffice 5.x) capability to save documents with a password and encrypt. With FIPS enabled - it will let you save the document but opening the document doesn’t work. As I understand it this is because the encryption algorithm used by LibreOffice 5.x is blowfish which is not FIPS compliant. Is there a way to change the configuration of LO to use a FIPS compliant encryption algorithm when saving documents with encryption/password? Thank you.
Where in OS did you configure FIPS? Did you try to use more new version of LibreOffice like as 6.0.7 or 6.1.4?
