I have a very large document with about 600 sections. I wanted to change the font everywhere in the document. I easily changed the font in the body content in all 600 sections at the same time by selection all and changing it. This did not change the font in the headers of the 600 sections. Is there any way I can simultaneously change the font in the headers of all 600 sections? I do not want to manually edit each of the 600 sections one at a time.
If you used a style listed or created in Styles&Formatting (F11) for all your section headers, then you can right click your sections header style, selecet Modify, do the modifications you want, and click Apply. All headers will be changed the same time.
If you formatted your header directly, I am sorry but you have to do do it for all headers separately. However in this case there is also the possibility to use Style&Formatting.
- Create the style you want for you headers.
- Select a header and double click on the style you defined. If nothing happened to right click on the selected header and select Clear direct formatting and then apply the style you want to use
- Do this for all headers.
I recommend to have a look at the free guides which you can download from http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/documentation/
Thanks for the help. I tried that and it worked. I originally created this document in Microsoft Word 2010. I opened the Word file in LibreWriter and saved it as an odt file. Every feature was retained perfectly. I just started using Libre and greatly prefer it to Word. I used OpenOffice first and had some problems before switching to Libre.
